If you wish to transfer a domain name from one registrar company to another, you will need to pass through a few safety steps. One of them is getting a unique EPP authentication code from the current domain registrar – provided that you are the domain registrant, since the code is sent to the domain owner’s email account and nobody else can obtain it. You’ll have to give this code to the new registrar company, otherwise they won’t be able to begin the domain name transfer procedure. The EPP codes are case-sensitive and may contain digits or special characters such as commas or dots, which can be easily mistyped, so make sure you copy and paste the right code. As an extra protection measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain name may be changed regularly. Certain registrars refer to this code as an Auth key, a domain password or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain that you’ve registered with our company with only a couple of clicks of the mouse from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to administer your shared hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all your domain names neatly displayed in alphabetical order. In case some TLD extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP transfer code, you will notice an EPP button next to the respective domain. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain name in question. If you want, you can modify the contact info, including the email address, without having to leave this Control Panel section, in case the currently entered email isn’t valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you wish to transfer any domain that is registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another domain name registrar, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with a couple of mouse clicks from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domains will be displayed in an independent section of the Control Panel. Quick-access buttons will permit you to use different features. To obtain the transfer code, you only have to click the EPP logo, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain whose TLD extension supports transfers with a transfer authorization code. Our system will send the code to the domain name registrant’s email, which is presently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If you wish, you can change this email from the same section of the Control Panel before requesting the transfer code. The update will propagate instantly, so you won’t have to wait for the new email address to be updated on WHOIS lookup websites.
